*Due to concerns about further spread of the coronavirus, the opening date of TRAVELER'S FACTORY KYOTO has been postponed to on June 11, 2020 (Thurs.).
The first TRAVELER’S FACTORY store was opened in Nakameguro, Tokyo in October 2011 to sell items that make every day feel like a journey. In addition to TRAVELER’S notebook and other stationery, the chain sells original TRAVELER’S COMPANY products and a selection of miscellaneous items from around the world. The new store follows TRAVELER’S FACTORY AIRPORT, opened in July 2014 in Terminal 1 of Narita Airport, and TRAVELER’S FACTORY STATION, opened in April 2017 in Tokyo Station, which both offer products and services unique to their location.
Our fourth store, and the first in the Kansai region, will feature a range of new products to make travelers’ adventures in Kyoto even more enjoyable.
The star of the show at TRAVELER’S FACTORY is TRAVELER’S notebook. The new store in Kyoto will include a Kyoto edition of TRAVELER’S notebook that cannot be found anywhere else, with iconic sights around the city—its historic buildings, beautiful scenery and unique food—depicted in copper foil on the blue leather cover. This will be complemented by a variety of accessories, including TRAVELER’S notebook refills with Kyoto-themed paper, a handy cotton bag to carry your notebook with you on your travels and brass tags to customize it. Keep this special Kyoto edition with you as you travel Kyoto, and then bring it home with you and travel back to Kyoto in your mind.
You’ll also find new collaborative items with the Made in Japan brand, a brand with years of experience in good craftsmanship, and be able to enjoy special services that are only available here. TRAVELER’S FACTORY KYOTO will be the largest TRAVELER’S FACTORY store so far. With areas to customize your notebook, read books and write letters, this will be a place where TRAVELER’S notebook fans from Japan and overseas can connect with each other.
Kyoto was the capital of Japan for over 1,000 years, from 794 to 1868, and countless valuable sites from this period of history can be found. Today, a more modern culture is emerging alongside this history, with a variety of delicious cuisine and a plethora of cafés. TRAVELER’S FACTORY KYOTO will take you on a new journey with a range of products designed to share our love for traveling to Kyoto.
Details on our products and services will be posted on the official TRAVELER’S FACTORY website (www.travelers-factory.com) as information becomes available.
